From Alti Formaggi to AECIS
The AECIS Association - an acronym for the European Association for Culture Innovation Sustainability - is the logical continuation of ALTI FORMAGGI, an association of several PDO Cheese Protection Consortia, since its establishment in 2011, which has carried out a wealth of in-depth dissemination activities for both consumers and operators in the sector.
Meeting the challenge of the transition to sustainable food systems
Talking about culture, referring to the wealth of knowledge related to innovation (in the broadest sense) and sustainability, makes the objectives of AECIS immediately visible: to meet the challenge of the transition to sustainable food systems, as also indicated by the EU “Farm to Fork” strategy at the heart of the European Green Deal.
Provolone Valpadana, Piave and Casciotta di Urbino allied for sustainability
The Association has therefore aligned itself with these principles, seeking to become a witness and a concrete interpreter of this new course.
Formed by Protection Consortia recognised by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture (today Masaf) - Provolone Valpadana, Piave and Casciotta di Urbino - it has therefore absorbed into its statute the recent orientations of community policies projected towards a sustainable future, to which the agro-food sector can and must make a significant contribution in redefining new production and consumption models.
