The new regulation also strengthens the protection of GI names in the domain name system;<\/li><li><strong>recognising sustainable practices<\/strong>producers will now be able to valorise their actions with regard to social, environmental or economic sustainability. Producer groups may decide to make certain sustainable practices compulsory for their products, which, in this case, will have to be included in the product specification. In addition, producers can draw up a sustainability report on a voluntary basis, which will be published by the European Commission;<\/li><li><strong>giving more powers to producer associations<\/strong>The new measures establish a voluntary system of recognised producer groups of Geographical Indications, to be set up by the Member States. To increase the attractiveness of the system, the associations are empowered to manage, enforce and develop their own Geographical Indications to strengthen their position in the value chain.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7d377b9 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con
